This picture is of my mother (pictured by jeep) and her older sister and younger brother. They are all deceased. I found the picture in her possession after she died. I date it from 1943 to 1945. All of the people in the picture were living in the Springfield, Illinois, area at the time but may have visited Camp Forrest, Tennessee. I do not know where the picture was taken but sure would like to. A friend at work touched up the picture-straightened, enhanced and applied colors.

I found the photo in a box of photos in my mother's basement, where most great photos are found. This is a group of CJ-5s exploring Salt Creek in the Needles District of Canyonlands National Park. This picture had to have been taken post '76, but pre '79. The rear brown CJ is my Grandpa Lee (Grizzly Bear). He bought the CJ-5 new in '76. When my Dad finally talked him out of it in '98 it had 40k miles on it, and the original soft top had never been removed!

This is my dad in WWII in Prien, Germany, shortly after VE day. Notice the fender modifications. The back of the photo calls it a PEEP.

Here's my dad again in WWII on the autobahn. It's the same vehicle with modified fenders, mud flaps and home made skirts. If you look REAL hard you can see an oncoming military convoy.
